On June 22, a memorial meeting dedicated to the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People was held at the Mass Grave of 12 Soviet Army Soldiers and Partisans. In memory of the heroes, an all-Belarusian minute of silence was held, which became an expression of respect and grief for those who gave their lives for freedom and peace! The first deputy chairman of the Zhodino City Executive Committee Natalya Mikhailovna Sushko spoke with words about the importance of preserving historical memory and respect for the feat of our heroes. She expressed gratitude to our veterans and reminded us of the need to honor and remember history! The rector of the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh, priest Sergiy Chukovich held a litiya for those who died in the Great Patriotic War. June 22 is a special date in our history, a day of remembrance and mourning for those who fought for the freedom and independence of the Motherland at the cost of their lives. On this day, we bow our heads together as a sign of respect and gratitude for the feat of our heroes, so that their memory lives in the hearts of future generations.
